Abstract:
Impurities within the stream have the potential to have chemical, thermodynamic, mechanical, and downhole impacts on the infrastructure used to transport and store CO?. Understanding what these impacts are is vital to the design and operation of systems which are safe and operable.
Biography:
After a career working in coal, nuclear and gas turbine stations, Andy left the industry in 1997 to form Progressive Energy as Engineering Director. Progressive Energy is primarily a low carbon project development and implementation company bringing new technologies to market. Andy is currently involved with full-chain gas-to-hydrogen projects which includes CO₂ capture and storage. Andy is Chartered as Mechanical Engineer and a Fellow and is also a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Energy Institute. He is a UK technical expert for CO₂ capture and storage for both ISO and CEN committees.
