Biography:
A new design of a photoabsorber material was introduced to further improve water evaporation rate with great salt resistance ability. The design was an incorporation of Fe3O4 knowing as a good photothermal absorber material and polyaniline as a salt resistant material. Both iron oxide and polyaniline were incorporated in a core@void@shell encapsulated design called yolk shell structure, to intensify the multi-scattering effect of light through the material which promoted the water evaporation rate. First, a core shell structure Fe3O4@SiO2@PANI was designed, in which Fe3O4 was the core and PANI was the shell. Then, the silica SiO2 layer was removed to produce the typical yolk shell structure. To study the effect of core on the whole encapsulated structure, three different structures of core (Bulk, Spheres and Rods) were prepared. Rods structure of core improved the role of the encapsulated yolk shell structure, giving the highest rate of evaporation of 1.9 Kg.m-2/h with high efficiency of evaporation. Moreover, to estimate the electricity generation ability, TE module was conducted to the prepared membrane producing current and power density reached up to 2.1mA and 21.03mW/m2, respectively.
