Biography:
Sebastian Oviedo Ortiz studied chemistry at the University of Quindío, Colombia and graduated as Chemist in 2020. His academic research started in the catalysis and organometallics compounds researcher group (GICOC) in 2018, where his group design synthesis of novel organometallic and coordination compounds for biological applications. Since moving to Mexico in 2020, he then joined to the research group of Dr. David Morales Morales at the Institute of chemistry of National autonomous university of Mexico (UNAM) as MSc student. He continues to pursue studies of synthesis of pincer complexes based on POCOP compounds to evaluate biological and catalytic applications.
